Then X-Plane came out and for years MSFS was the underdog of flight simming. And the only “realistic” flight sim out there was Microsoft Flight Simulator. Let’s compare them when msfs2020 is matureĭoes anyone remember when X-plane didn’t even exist. On top of that, msfs2020 feels way more alive, while the other two sims feel like dead worlds. Both P3D and Xplane feel like there’s no actual atmosphere, but just a gigantic windtunnel, it’s in fact the first thing I noticed when trying Msfs2020. There is no other reason to keep using Xplane or P3D, both graphically outdated by A LOT, compared to Msfs2020, both lacking of scenery, unless you do a ton of work yourself, and even then it’s not the same, both lacking of an actual atmosphere, compared to msfs2020’s organic flying feel, even Xplane doesn’t come close compared, in that organic aspect.
